At the heart of the cinema are three KEF Ci3160RLM-THX in-wall speakers handling Left, Center, and Right channel duties behind an acoustically transparent projection screen. These flagship architectural speakers utilize a 12th Generation Uni-Q driver array paired with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™) to absorb 99% of unwanted rear tweeter radiation.

Dialog becomes razor-sharp, panning effects become seamless, and the soundstage completely detaches from the walls. This creates the illusion that sound originates directly from the on-screen action rather than from physical speaker locations.

Four KEF Ci3120QLM architectural speakers handle the side and rear surround channels, sharing the exact same tonal DNA as the front stage for perfectly cohesive sound transitions.

The immersive overhead layer is powered by KEF Q4 Meta speakers mounted strategically for ideal vertical immersion, making aircraft fly realistically overhead, rain fall naturally from above, and ambient environments gain true 3D spatial realism.

Arcam Electronics: Reference-Level Processing & Amplification

A world-class speaker system demands equally capable electronics. Processing duties are handled by the flagship Arcam AV41 AV Processor, featuring an ESS Sabre DAC architecture and native 16-channel processing for ultra-low noise floor signal purity.

Instead of relying on ordinary AVR amplification, we utilize dedicated multi-channel power amplifiers for superior dynamics and control:

  • Arcam PA720 (Main Bed Channels): Powers the LCRs and surrounds using a Class G amplification topology. It runs in pure Class A at lower volumes for flawless resolution and seamlessly kicks into massive reserve power during demanding dynamic peaks.
  • Arcam PA410 (Atmos Channels): Independently powers the overhead speakers, ensuring clean overhead effects with excellent channel separation and headroom.

Dual JL Audio E112 Subwoofer Array: Precision Bass Engineering

Bass is one of the most difficult elements to engineer properly in private cinemas. Most rooms suffer from standing waves, bass nulls, and overpowering low-end boominess.

To solve this, we deployed two active JL Audio E112 subwoofers in a dual-array configuration. This smooths out the bass response across every single seating position, eliminates room nulls, and delivers bass that feels incredibly tight, fast, deep, and controlled. Explosions hit with immense authority while musical scores remain perfectly articulate.

Sony vs BenQ: Premium Projection Showdown

To help clients understand the real-world differences between modern projection technologies, we created a dedicated side-by-side projection comparison environment driven by a Zidoo Z10 Pro high-fidelity media player:

  • Sony BRAVIA Projector 7 (VPL-XW5100ES): Features native 4K SXRD imaging, a laser light source, and the XR Processor for Projector. It delivers exceptional black levels, advanced dynamic HDR tone mapping, and deep cinematic contrast.
  • BenQ W2720i 4LED Projector: Offers a 4LED illumination system, outstanding native sharpness, and 90% DCI-P3 color coverage for superb value-to-performance ratio and brilliant color accuracy out of the box.

  • Acoustic Isolation: We target an ambient noise floor of NC-15 or lower using structural decoupling and specialized HVAC muffling to block low-frequency maskers.
  • Spatial Audio Mathematics (3D Sound Blueprinting): Instead of guessing where speakers go, we use geometric angles to map out high-performance 9.4.6 or 13.7.8 Dolby Atmos systems. By positioning front speakers at exactly 30 degree and surround speakers between 90 10 110 degree, we lock every seat into the “sweet spot.” This creates a seamless bubble of sound where audio moves around and above you with lifelike, holographic precision.
  • Electro-Acoustic Calibration: Multi-Subwoofer Optimization uses DSP to eliminate bass dead zones, ensuring 85dB reference SPL with 20dB dynamic headroom.
  • Video Science: Spectrophotometers align grayscale and CMS to Rec. 709/DCI-P3 studio standards.
  • Multi-Subwoofer Optimization (MSO): Using active digital signal processing (DSP) to align phase, time delays, and individual parametric EQ curves across multiple independent subwoofers. This forces standing waves into cancellation patterns, producing uniform, tight, tactile low-frequency impact across every single seat.
